How Online Learning Can Be a Win-Win Solution

It’s not surprising that we are still having to work remote, given the fact that the number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S. continue to rise. With an estimated six million Americans who have contracted the virus, and no vaccine in sight, it’s not likely that things will change anytime soon.

While under quarantine, many people have reported feeling sadness, sorrow, disorganized, lethargic and depressed. Though we cannot predict the future as to when the pandemic will end, what we can focus on during these turbulent times is being more relaxed, and self-directed. Revolving self-awareness is where we should concentrate our effort, putting a special emphasis on growth and development, and basic self-improvement either as a pastime or a business.

An inspiring sense of wonder and imagination for life-long learning can create a sense of belonging and enthusiasm.

Something like a virtual excursion or a new learning adventure that is sure to bring new clarity and confidence may be just what the doctor ordered. In the world of virtual learning, there is something for everyone. At this point you have the luxury of staging a short-term or long-term professional development journey online by making intentional choices. There’s nothing to stop you from excelling in the creative virtual space if you work diligently toward it.

You call the shots. Online learning is self-paced so, you can decide when you have the most energy to get it done. Whether day or night, weekdays or weekends it’s pretty much whatever suits your fancy. And, what makes it even more fun is that you can learn from the comfort of your home.

The online community is full of dynamic content, a plethora of online groups and chat rooms that are highly interactive, and similar platforms where you can add value. Joining an online group could provide ongoing satisfaction and allow you the opportunity to connect with people who share your same ideals. During this period of extreme isolation a connection with like-minded individuals could provide comfort and newfound joy.

If you are lonely this may be an option you’ll love, with benefits. A lot of group members are welcoming, knowledgeable, and generally speaking, online groups are set up in a way that make it fun and enjoyable, and easy for just about anyone to get involved.

Another option during this time is doing a career-training program, or taking a class. Online courses can be informative and convenient. If you are a native English speaker, try a new language — just for fun! Amid the pandemic, many language learning online programs are offering free memberships so you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Learning something new like coding or Do-It-Yourself hacks could open your eyes to new possibilities, and potentially expose you to other interesting subject areas that you might like to try. By the end of the course, you could have a new skillset that could push you forward giving you a competitive edge in the workforce.

Your initiative to do virtual job training will only benefit you.

As unemployment soars, millions are stuck at home during our “safer-at-home” new normal which gives you the flexibility that you once only dreamt of. If you are interested in advancing your career, there is no better time than now to get ready. Take this idle time to do the timely research, to learn more about your dream job, and the training and prerequisite skills needed to successfully make the leap.

The outcome will largely be controlled by your emotions and the extent by which you exert yourself. In order to truly benefit from online learning you must eagerly accept the challenge to engage in such activities so that it will arouse your participation.

If your choice of online activity soothes or stimulates you, your mood will be delightful and a fruitful alliance, with less frustration and despair. During these extremely complicated times, it is essential to your health and well-being that you keep your mind alert and engaged.

We all require emotional stimulus to set us off. Basically, unless you are interested in a project there is no hope of it attracting your attention. No interest equals no initiative. No initiative will lead to a decline in progress, which will ultimately stump your growth. No pain, no gain.

Hardly a night passes that we are not thinking of the way our life use to be and what we use to do for fun. Find ways to factor in entertainment and relaxation by doing puzzles, game challenges or some activity that causes you to achieve a sense of purpose and achievement.

In a nutshell, this is the perfect time for you to learn as much as you can about yourself and the world around you. As you progress, you will be amazed at how you feel better about your life, the fluent situation, and the future.

Yes, even in this time of crisis you can still have fun and try to make your life highly enjoyable. You have the strength and capacity to push forward. You are intelligent and practical and the only limitations here are the ones you place on yourself. You only need something to light a new fire!

Relax. Be better coming out of the pandemic than going in. Be curious. Be intensely ambitious. Be unapologetically you and thrive!
